STEP 1
It all starts with the selection of fabric. Traditionally, such blankets were sewn from the remnants of matter, but still it is better to spend time and look for patterns suitable for future blankets. Fabrics should not only combine with each other in color, but also be equally dense.
STEP 2
The complexity of the composition depends only on the imagination. The main thing is very carefully to sew all the pieces together. That's why it will be easier for beginners to work with large squares. Patterns are usually built from blocks: you sew small flaps together so that a pattern (for example, a star or a polygon) becomes visible, and repeat the resulting block several times. Having thought over the pattern, fold one block without sewing it, and look again carefully: while the combination of fabrics can be changed.
STEP 3
Calculate the size of the flaps, not forgetting the allowances for seams of 0.75 cm, and cut the fabric. Be sure to cut the edge of the edge of the fabric, the edges should be even. Measure and cut the lower part (with an allowance of 5-10 cm) and a heater.
STEP 4
Fold the flaps face down inside and sew them to each other on the typewriter. Then the ironing of the scraps and seams. Be careful, the fabric should in no case be bristled.
STEP 5
When the pattern of the upper part is fully formed, once again iron the entire composition.
STEP 6
Proceed to the marking for the stitch. Usually it is made with a hard pencil H2. The stitch can be oriented to blocks, and can not depend on them and bend a complex contour.

STEP 8
Unscrew the allowances of the lower part and sweep them to the heater. This is necessary so that when you follow the stitch you do not interfere with the fibers of non-woven fabric and do not pour the fabric. The stitch can be manual and machine. The machine will make the blanket more embossed, dense and not very plastic. With manual stitch, the blanket turns out to be softer and lush.
STEP 9
Decoration of the edges of the product. The easiest way to do this is with the help of a border strip of fabric or a finished bake. Fold it in half with the wrong side inside and iron it. Begin to sew the edge from the middle of each edge of the blanket (it is better to fix it with pins). First to the bottom side, then to the front.
Important! It is better to calculate the sizes beforehand and try different combinations of shreds. It is important that the resulting blanket not only was cozy and warm, but also harmoniously fit into the interior of the bedroom or living room.
